These terms govern your use of sous-chef.co and any purchase you make from it. By using the site or placing an order you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
1. Who we are
The store is operated by Sous Chef SARL, a company registered in Lebanon, with its registered office in Metn, Lebanon. Contact: jessica@sous-chef.co
2. Using the site
You must be at least 18, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order. You agree to give accurate contact, delivery and payment details, and to keep your account credentials secure. You may not use the site unlawfully, attempt to interfere with it, or scrape or copy it for commercial use.
3. Our products
We sell food. Every product page lists ingredients, allergens, net content, storage and shelf life, taken from the printed label. Please read them before ordering, particularly if you have an allergy or intolerance.
Colours on your screen may differ slightly from the physical product. Recipes, availability and packaging can change. We may discontinue a product or limit quantities at any time.
4. Bundles and pricing
Bottles are sold in packs. A pack has one price for that size, whatever flavours you put in it. Prices are shown in US dollars and do not include delivery, which is added at checkout. Prices and promotions can change at any time; the price that applies is the one shown when you place your order and confirmed in your order email.
We try to keep the site accurate, but if a price or product detail is wrong we may correct it and cancel or decline an affected order, including after you have placed it. If we do, we will contact you and refund you in full.
5. Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we confirm it. We may decline an order at our discretion, for example if we cannot verify your details or a product is unavailable. Once an order is accepted we may not be able to change or cancel it.
Products are for your own use, not for commercial resale or export.
6. Delivery
Delivery terms are in our shipping policy, which forms part of these terms. Delivery times are estimates. Risk in the products passes to you on delivery.
7. Returns and refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by our refund policy, which forms part of these terms. Because we sell food, opened products cannot be returned except where there is a problem with the product. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Lebanese consumer protection law (Law No. 659 of 2005).
8. Intellectual property
The Sous Chef name, logo, recipes, packaging design, photography and site content belong to Sous Chef SARL and are protected under Lebanese and international intellectual property law. You may not reproduce or use them commercially without our written permission.
9. Content you send us
If you send us reviews, photographs, recipe ideas or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it to promote Sous Chef. You confirm the content is yours to give and is not unlawful or offensive. We may remove content at our discretion.
10. Third party links and services
The site is hosted by Shopify and uses third party services for payment, delivery and analytics. Links to other sites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third party sites or their content.
11. Liability
We are responsible for supplying products that match their description and are safe to eat when stored and used as directed. To the extent permitted by Lebanese law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or by unsafe food.
12. Privacy
How we handle your personal information is set out in our privacy policy.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published when you place your order is the version that applies to it.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lebanon. Any dispute falls to the competent courts of Beirut, without prejudice to any right you have as a consumer to bring a claim in the courts of your place of residence in Lebanon.
